HOLI

Holi is celebrated joyously across all math branches, marking the victory of good over evil and the arrival of spring. Devotees gather for traditional rituals, bhajans, and Holika Dahan. The math premises come alive with devotion, and vibrant celebrations. Swamiji blesses devotees, and prasad is distributed to all the devotees.

GANESH CHATURTHI

One of the most grandly celebrated festivals of Kavale Math, observed for 12 days with full rituals, aarti, bhajans, and daily pujas. Swamiji performs the sthapana and daily poojas of Ganesh dev during the chaturmas. Visarjan of Ganapathi is done on the 12th day in a highly traditional and festive procession at the chaturmas venue. And the celebration is held in all the other math branches for 1 to 3 days.

Nagar Panchami

Observed during Chaturmas, Nag Panchami holds spiritual significance as devotees worship Nag Devata (Serpent God) for protection and blessings. Special rituals and prayers are held at the math, emphasizing gratitude towards nature and ancient traditions.

Gokul Ashtami / Krishna Janmashtami

Celebrated during Chaturmas with deep devotion to Lord Balakrishna. A special abhishek and puja is performed by Swamiji to the math’s deity Shree Balakrishna. Devotees sing bhajans and witness spiritual discourses on Lord Krishna’s Leela’s.

Maha Shivratri

Dedicated to the math’s Pradhan deity Shree Bhavanishankar, this festival is observed with special Pujas and Abhishek to the Shiva Linga. Swamiji leads the rituals, and devotees participate in night-long bhajans and meditations.

Varadanti Utsav

This Utsav is celebrated at the temples of various math branches like Khanapur, Kavale, Halge, Sadashivgad, Sonvade, Walkeshwar, Ankola, and other branches. The festival marks the installation or pratishta anniversaries of the deities in these branches. It involves special pujas, Homas, cultural programs, and blessings from Swamiji.

Suttapunav

Held during Chaturmas, this sacred day is when much math kulavis receive their sacred thread janeu (sacred thread) from the divine hands of Swamiji. It symbolizes spiritual rebirth and the embrace of Vedic dharma. The rituals are deeply traditional, including Homas, mantra recitations, and samskaras for boys entering the Brahmacharya ashram.

Shravan Somvar

Every Monday in the holy month of Shravan that is during Swamiji’s Chaturmas is marked by special Shiva pujas, Abhisheks, and fasting by devotees. The math sees a heightened devotional ambiance, with devotees chanting Rudram, offering bel Patra and performing pradakshina. Swamiji blesses the devotees, reinforcing discipline and devotion.

Navaratri

Navaratri is celebrated grandly, especially at Sadashivgad with Shree Sharadamba Devi, and Walkeshwar math with Kalika Devi. Each night sees special pujas, Devi Shloka recitations, and cultural performances. Devotees flock to the math for darshan and participate in rituals that invoke divine energy.

Ram Navami

Dedicated to the math’s deity Shree Kodanda Rama, this festival celebrates the birth of Lord Rama. Special puja, Abhishek are conducted by Swamiji. Devotees gather for bhajans and katha narrations from the Ramayana, honouring Lord Rama’s ideals of dharma, strength, and virtue.

Punyatithi

Punyatithi is observed in various branches of kavale math, Where the samadhis of previous Peethadhipathis of Shree Saunsthan are located. On this occasion, devotees gather to offer their respects and perform rituals. Special pujas are conducted at the respective samadhis to honor the B.B Swamiji’s.
